Job summary

Honda Aircraft Company in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Aviation Structures Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, install fasteners, and use hand tools and precision equipment to build structural assemblies in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication, and ability to work with minimal supervision as part of a skilled team. A high school diploma and relevant aviation experience are preferred, with an A&P license highly desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of aviation structures experience preferred.
• A&P and/or other related license highly desired and may be required in certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Understand use and wear required PPE within assigned production work area/position.
• Ability to read and follow aircraft blueprint drawings and process specifications.
• Familiar with and ability to accurately use basic structure’s hand tools including drills, countersinks, rivet guns, torque wrenches, scales, and micrometers.
• Ability to accurately perform layout of fastener locations by following blueprint and drawing requirements.
• Ability to accurately install solid rivets, blind rivets, and various types of threaded fasteners using required tooling.
• Ability to perform drilling operations accurately including fastener removal and reaming of fastener holes to correct size.
• Operates required tooling, machinery, and equipment in a proficient manner following established safety rules.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift, and routinely climb stairs / ladders.
• Ability to work for extended periods in a tight space and/or awkward position.
• Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
