Job summary

DRMP is seeking a Structures Intern in Orlando, FL to support its Transportation Division. You will work with practicing engineers to develop preliminary and final calculations and drawings for transportation projects, gaining practical experience while pursuing your degree.

The internship can range from 3 to 24 months, offering hands-on exposure, mentorship, and potential for full-time employment after graduation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with urgency and contribute positively to a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing preliminary and final engineering calculations and drawings for transportation projects.
• Prepare and check quantity calculations.
• Participate in engineering analysis by collecting data, performing calculations, and evaluating feasibility of alternatives.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

• Assist in the production of preliminary and final engineering calculations and drawings for transportation projects
• Prepare and check quantity calculations
• Participate in engineering alternatives analysis by completing well-defined tasks including collecting and analyzing data, performing calculations, and evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
