Role description:

Arcadis seeks a Structures Inspector to join the team in Selma, CA, working in a field setting to perform construction inspections ensuring materials and workmanship conform to plans and specifications.

Must be able to work onsite in Selma, CA.

The Construction Field Inspector will perform on-site inspections to confirm contractor compliance with contract documents, quality control plans, and owner requirements during construction.

Responsibilities include:

• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change notices impacting the work.
• Conduct visual inspections and prepare quality punch lists.
• Participate in work planning and coordinate testing documentation.
• Perform quality control inspections across all phases of work.
• Maintain records of quality testing and project logs, analyze trends, and prepare reports.
• Document work daily with photographs and comprehensive reports.

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in transportation construction inspection.
• Caltrans or California transportation inspection experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30 safety training.

Key skills and attributes:

• Strong communication, documentation, and inspection skills.
• Valid driver’s license for field travel.
• Knowledge of construction materials, drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs.
