This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export‑controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.
The structural engineer will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of new or upgraded turbomachinery hardware, focused on stress, vibration, and life analyses. Through physics‑based finite element analysis and classical hand calculations, the structural engineer will analyze complex components and assemblies exposed to extreme loading and temperature environments. Working in an interdisciplinary team, the engineer will evolve the design based on these results to meet all requirements. Specific responsibilities include assisting teams with analytical calculations and design support and ensuring that structural analysis is accurate and documented properly. Engineers will be provided with mentoring and guidance from world‑class turbomachinery engineers.
