Job summary

Churchill Real Estate is seeking a Finance Associate to support senior team members in warehouse finance transaction origination, underwriting and execution in Charlotte. You will manage transaction lifecycles and ensure accurate market data.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance/Business, 1–3 years in related fields, strong Excel/PowerPoint, and good communication. SQL is a plus. You will work with a fast-growing team on credit analyses, reporting, and due diligence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support senior team in warehouse finance transaction origination, underwriting, and execution.
• Manage lifecycle of financing transactions including onboarding, funding operations, waterfalls, reporting.
• Maintain the transaction and market information database.
• Prepare internal memoranda including credit memos and management reports.
• Perform data analysis and reporting (routine and ad hoc).
• Review real estate loan documentation and analyze financial statements.
• Conduct market analysis and related research.
• Participate in due diligence calls and meetings.
• Review and comment on basic lending facility legal documents.
• Assist in cashflow analysis and modeling related to collateral.

• Support senior team members and management in all aspects of warehouse finance transaction origination, underwriting, and execution
• Manage the lifecycle of financing transactions, including onboarding, funding operations, waterfalls, reporting, etc.
• Work closely with team members to ensure proper maintenance of the transaction and market information database
• Prepare various internal memoranda including credit memos and management reports
• Prepare routine and ad hoc data analysis and reporting
• Review and comprehend real estate loan documentation
• Review and analyze financial statements and perform credit analyses
• Perform market analysis and related research
• Participate in transaction due diligence calls and meetings, as appropriate
• Review and participate in providing comments on basic lending facility legal documents
• Assist in preparing cashflow analysis and modeling related to the collateral

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier school, ideally in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in investment banking, structured finance, corporate finance, consulting, or real estate with a strong track record of high performance.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to communicate complicated and technical points clearly
• High energy, results-oriented, dependable individual who will enjoy the challenge of a rapidly evolving global organization.
• Understanding of real estate, economics, and market trends.
• Prior exposure to real estate or asset-based lending a plus.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
• Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SQL a plus.
• The candidate must be highly motivated and work with minimal supervision but also work well with teams.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to meet the demands and deadlines that are a part of this position. Attention to detail is a must.
