Job description

Aerospace Technicians Needed

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay: Up to $45/hr depending on experience ($25.00 - $40.00/hr range provided)

Shift: 1st (5am-3:30pm) and 2nd (3pm-1:30am)

This is a Contract to Hire position based in Long Beach, CA.

Workplace Type: Fully onsite.

As a Structure Technician, you will be responsible for drilling precision holes on flight hardware using the appropriate tooling and jigs, assembling hardware using structural adhesives, properly torqueing fasteners, and installing inserts or hilocks. Your role will involve performing in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges, executing blending or deburring operations, and protecting hardware with alodine or sealant.

Responsibilities

• Drill precision holes on flight hardware using appropriate tools and jigs.
• Select appropriate drill motors and sizes for specific tasks.
• Assemble hardware with structural adhesives and install fasteners, inserts, or hilocks.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
• Conduct blending or deburr operations and protect hardware with alodine or sealant.

Essential Skills

• Experience with structural components and aerospace technology.
• Proficiency in using pneumatic drills and aluminum.
• Knowledge of torque wrenches and structural bonding.
• Ability to work within precision tolerances (±1) and manage hilocks.
• Expertise in rivet installs, torque tools, fastening, drilling, sealants, mechanical assembly, and aluminum.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in 5S and forklift operation.
• Experience as an aerospace technician.
