Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking aSenior Engineer to lead structural and interior payload system design and integration across the product lifecycle. You will document requirements, coordinate with engineering groups, suppliers and customers to ensure robust system definitions and compliant configurations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials.
• 9+ years of engineering experience including design, integration, and certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
• Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
• Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
• Your work will interface with project engineering, production engineering, program/product teams and management to define and implement engineering solutions.

Location- North Carolina and Washington

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
• Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
• Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• 9+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.
