Job summary

EcoMod LLC in Hudson, Colorado is seeking an experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role involves fabricating and assembling structural components by welding steel studs to steel shipping containers and performing precise plasma cutting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years welding experience in a manufacturing, structural steel, or construction environment.
• Proficiency in welding steel-to-steel applications and operating plasma cutting torches.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Strong measurement skills and ability to verify work against blueprints or templates.
• AWS welding certificate is preferred

Responsibilities

• Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality welds to securely attach steel studs to steel containers according to engineering specifications.
• Plasma Cutting: Operate plasma cutting equipment to trim, shape, and prepare steel components to precise dimensions.
• Material Preparation: Clean, grind, and prep steel surfaces prior to welding to ensure weld integrity.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications to layout and align components accurately.
• Quality & Safety Control: Inspect finished welds for defects or penetration issues and adhere to shop safety protocols.
