Tri-Lakes Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to fabricate, assemble, and join metal components for structural frameworks. You will read blueprints and project instructions, operate welding equipment (MIG/TIG/Stick), and ensure welds meet code and safety standards.

Candidates must have 3–5 years of experience, follow safety rules, and work in varied environments, including heights and confined spaces. Overtime and lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets project plans and diagrams.

Description du poste

Candidate is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and joining metal components to create and maintain the framework of buildings, bridges and other infrastructures, ensuring structural integrity and safety.

• Must follow ALL OSHA, company and job site safety rules
• Must be able to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task
• Must be able to cut, shape, and join metal parts such as beams, columns, and plates to form complete structures, often using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques
• Must be able to perform fit-up checks, tach welding, and final weld passes, ensuring alignment and compliance with structural standards
• Must maintain welding equipment and tools, as well as cleaning and preparing metal surfaces
• Must be proficient in operating welding machines, power saws, grinders, and lifting equipment like cranes and forklifts
• Must have manual dexterity, precision, and knowledge of metallurgy to ensure welds can withstand stress and environmental factors

• Must have welding credentials (e.g. American Welding Society AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code, ASME, International Welding Specialist IWS)
• Must be able to work well with others
• Must have good communication skills (verbally and written)
• Must be able to work after hours and weekends if needed
• Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather and confined spaces
• Must be able to work at elevated heights
• Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs and occasional ladders
• Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Must have 3 - 5 years experience
• Must have knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
