An established industry player is seeking a skilled Structural Welder/Fitter to join their team in Alaska. In this challenging role, you'll be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural metal products while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The position requires a strong background in welding, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to teamwork. You'll work in a dynamic environment, often at heights and in various weather conditions, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of construction projects. Plans, lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of structural metal products. Welds, tacks and assembles together metal components of products such as modules, structural steel, pipe racks and plate welding with electric arc-welding equipment by performing the following duties. Works at heights while tied off, assembly & disassembly of temporary structures used during construction. Spotting for equipment, rigging & signaling as needed.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
