Job summary

SI Utility in Midland, Texas is seeking a Structural Fitter/Fabricator to join our growing team. You will fabricate and assemble structural metal components for steel utility poles, reading engineering blueprints and ensuring fits meet exact specifications.

Candidates must pass a 2g weld test, have a high school diploma, and work well in a team. We offer health and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Experience in structural fabrication and welding.
• Good math and measurement skills; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, and fit structural metal components for poles.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit components with various tools.
• Weld or bolt materials per specifications.
• Align parts with precision using measuring tools.
• Inspect finished assemblies for conformance to AWS D1.1.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
