Job summary

SI Utility LLC is seeking a Structural Fitter/Fabricator to join our growing team. You will assemble, fabricate, and fit structural metal components for steel utility poles, reading blueprints and interpreting specifications to ensure quality and safety.

A clean, safe work environment is emphasized and adherence to AWS D1.1 standards is expected. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to operate standard tools and machinery; a 2g weld test must

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, and fit structural metal components for steel utility poles.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components using a variety of tools and machinery.
• Weld or bold materials together to build frameworks and supports per specifications.
• Align and fit parts precisely using appropriate measuring and leveling tools.
• Inspect completed assemblies for conformance to design and AWS D1:1 quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday.
• Occasional bending, squatting, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
