Job summary

High Plains Structural Group is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Lincoln, NE. You will fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel and miscellaneous metal components per shop drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of welder/fabricator experience, can read blueprints and weld symbols, and is proficient with MIG, Stick, and FCAW processes. Overtime, safety, and quality are emphasized in daily operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welder/fabricator experience (structural steel preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Proficiency with MIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous metal assemblies.
• Perform welding using MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core processes (GMAW, SMAW, FCAW).
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble steel components accurately.
• Operate shop equipment including saws, grinders, torches, and forklifts.
• Perform quality inspections of completed welds and assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist team to meet production schedules.
