Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Welder and Fabricator to join its Algodones, NM team. The role focuses on fabricating and welding structural, miscellaneous, and precision steel components, including beams, columns, railings, stairs, and platforms for varied projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder and fabricator for structural steel products.
• Strong MIG fluxcore 3G welding skills with quality welds.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings for fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld structural steel components (beams, columns, railings, stairs, frames, platforms) per specs and drawings.
• Read blueprints/shop drawings to determine material requirements and processes.
• Operate fabrication equipment (saws, grinders, CNC plasma cutters, drill line) and perform cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing.
• Inspect finished work for accuracy and adherence to drawings and standards.
• Maintain safety and organized work area; manage tasks in a fast-paced shop.
