Graywolf is seeking Structural Welders for our Peachtree City, GA project (Hiring in May 2025).

Summary:

A Structural Welder raises, places, and unites girders, columns, and other structural-steel members to form complete structures or frameworks.

Essential Duties:

  1. Welding Safety – work safely around hazards associated with construction.
  2. Welding Tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely.
  3. Blue Print Reading – accurately read and interpret plans, isometrics, drawings, specifications, and manuals to make informed decisions.
  4. Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  5. Secure components by applying knowledge of geometry, metal properties, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
  6. Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to position them for welding.
  7. Prepare materials for welding by cutting or grinding as needed.
  8. Set materials in stands, racks, hoists, etc., for welding.
  9. Set up equipment and weld parts using appropriate welding techniques.
  10. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reshaping as necessary.
  11. Reassemble parts using cutting torches, presses, and hand tools.

Weld Test Details:

  1. 3-position / 1g, 2g, & 3g, 3-position / ½” thick carbon steel plates.
  2. Welding positions include Horizontal, Uphill Vertical, and Overhead, to be performed simultaneously.
  3. Welding with .045
