Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking skilled Welders to join our fabrication team in Sedalia, Missouri. You will use MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding processes, along with flame-cutting equipment, to fabricate power-generation components from engineering drawings and specifications.

The role is on-site at our Sedalia facility with first and third shift opportunities. We aim to train individuals with strong work ethics and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Fluent in English with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.
• Must pass criminal history/security check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Position, align, and secure materials using fixtures, jigs, and clamps.
• Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Interpret blueprints, layouts, work orders, and welding specs.

Position Summary

PROENERGY is seeking skilled Welders to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will use MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding processes, along with flame-cutting equipment, to fabricate and assemble power-generation components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and production specifications. This position is based in our 50,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility and offers opportunities on both first and third shift. We will train an individual with good work ethics and a positive attitude!

Reports To: Fabrication Supervisor

Work Location: 2001 ProEnergy Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sedalia, Missouri. No travel or per diem is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedure
• Position, align, and secure materials using fixtures, jigs, and clamps.
• Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Interpret blueprints, layouts, work orders, and welding specifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED

• Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

• Candidate must also pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to pass a weld qualification test in FCAW 2G (horizontal) and 3G (vertical-up) positions.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Proficiency using measuring and inspection tools, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, levels, and angle finders.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely.
• Familiarity with Miller welding systems.
