Job summary

MCCLUNG MANAGEMENT LLC is seeking an experienced welder for shop fabrication including skids, pedestals, and brackets. You will read blueprints, take measurements, and weld components using MIG, flux core, and metal core processes across multiple positions.

Safety, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced plant environment. Ideal candidates have proven welding experience, can interpret technical drawings, and read US-unit measurements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as welder with shop fabrication background.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and plan layout per WPS.
• Familiarity with US unit measurements (inches/feet).
• Experience with GMAW/MIG, flux core, and metal core processes.
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measurements to plan weld layout.
• Weld components per WPS using MIG, flux core, or其它 processes as required.
• Operate grinders, plasma cutter, and torch to prep parts.
• Align beams and assemble to required tolerances.
• Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols in a fast-paced shop.

Position Overview:Responsible for welding in a variety of applications including skid fabrication, pedestal and sub assembly fabrication, welding pedestals, brackets, and braces to skids.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresWeld components according to the company’s welding procedure specifications (WPS)Operate angle grinders, plasma cutter, and/or torch to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign structural beams with clamp pieces as necessaryWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possibleAdhere to company policy, procedures, and rulesAdhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gearMaintain a positive, team-oriented attitudeFlexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirementsNeed minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobPerform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisorProven experience as welderExperience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures such as GMAW/MIG hard-wire, metal core and flux coreAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsAbility to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)Ability to read and use a levelAbility to use hand tools and power toolsAttention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced shop environmentPass pre-employment and periodic weld testsCompetency test: Weld ½” plate in the horizontal position using the parameters set forth in MES’ Structural Welding WPS.
