Inland Crane Inc. in Greenville, TX is seeking experienced Field Welders to support precast concrete erection and structural steel operations on a large-scale construction project.

You will perform quality field welding on structural connections, embedded plates, and precast components, reading blueprints and welding symbols, while adhering to AWS D1.1 and safety requirements on active sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel or precast field welding.
• Ability to read construction drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 requirements is preferred.

Inland Crane is seeking experienced Field Welders to support precast concrete erection and structural steel operations on a large-scale construction project in Greenville, Texas.

This position is responsible for performing quality field welding on structural connections, embedded steel plates, and precast concrete components while working closely with erection crews, crane operators, and other onsite personnel.

The ideal candidate has experience in structural welding, can read and interpret construction drawings, and understands the importance of producing accurate, high-quality welds in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural field welding on precast concrete connections, embedded steel plates, brackets, and other structural components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and project specifications.
• Perform welding using SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux-core), and other processes as required by project specifications.
• Prepare materials and welding surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with approved welding procedures.
• Coordinate with crane operators, erection crews, and field supervisors to complete welding activities safely and efficiently.Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other related tools.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine inspections.
• Follow approved welding procedures and applicable AWS requirements.
• Comply with all company, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements, including fall protection and hot-work procedures.
• Work at heights using aerial lifts or other approved access equipment when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in structural steel or precast concrete field welding required.
• Proficiency in SMAW (stick) welding; FCAW experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience welding embedded plates and structural connections preferred.
• AWS welding certification preferred; ability to pass a project-specific weld test may be required.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 structural welding requirements and applicable project specifications.
• Experience working on active construction sites around cranes and heavy equipment.
• Ability to work safely at heights and use required fall protection.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the position.
