The Center for Building Innovation (CBI) seeks a structurally-minded Lab Technician for its Madison, WI facility. The role involves hands-on setup of test rigs, fabrication of fixtures, sensor installation, and data acquisition across mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

Ideal candidates bring carpentry and welding skills, CAD experience, and a strong eye for accurate data collection. This is an onsite, full-time position with benefits and opportunities for advancement into lead

Competenze

• Ability to set up and use monitoring sensors for structural testing.
• Experience with woodworking, metalworking, and concrete test fixtures is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail for precise data collection and reporting.

Mansioni

• Create and use drawings and resources to set up product testing.
• Set up sensors and data-collection equipment to monitor load and movement.
• Fabricate test specimens and fixtures using wood, steel, and concrete.
