Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) seeks a Structural Technician III for a Denver-area aerospace/defense project. This 11-month W2 contract requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

The role focuses on assembly, alignment, measurement, and quality verification of structural components for aerospace vehicles. Responsibilities include assembling major structures, fitting minor parts, and ensuring compliance with drawings.

Qualifications

• Must have/own tools in good working order.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints and manuals; install per drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
• Progressive experience with structure assembly and minor part fitting; includes airframe corrosion removal where applicable.
• Ability to install rivets and hi-locks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and perform minor part fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming.
• Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures; measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify incomplete/complete assemblies and incorporate changes; monitor and verify quality per statistical process or other control procedures.

DPP is seeking a Structural Technician III for an opportunity with our Aerospace and Defense industry.

Duration: 11 months

Terms: W2 Contract

Work authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance

Position Description:

• As a Structural Technician III, you will be using your skills and expertise to assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming.
• You will be responsible for aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures and measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• You also may be responsible for modifying incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporating the changes into the structure, and monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have/own tools in good working order.
• Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
• Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
• Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience;
• A higher-level degree may substitute for experience;
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to travel.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA or US Military.

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

• Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
• Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
• Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors.
• Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes.
• Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
