Pierce Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Structural Technician to convert design concepts into detailed drawings in compliance with established drafting standards.
You will work with the Structural Engineer to understand building components and expose relational discrepancies in plans and details. The position supports the Chicago office with a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote), and requires knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, plus field surveys and shop-drawing reviews as part of project
The Structural Technician takes specific job-related information and converts it into the format of drawings per the established design and drafting standards.
The Structural Technician should have a working knowledge of the structural systems they are depicting and should strive to understand the relationship between building components. They should assist the Structural Engineer or Designer they are working with in exposing relational discrepancies in both plans and details.

This position will primarily support our Chicago office, and working in the Chicago office is preferred. We are open to candidates in the Milwaukee or Madison areas as well. All of our offices work on a hybrid schedule, with 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
The salary range for this position is $52,000-$100,000 annually. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location.
