A prominent engineering firm seeks a Structural/Support Engineer to design and calculate piping system supports. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering and possess knowledge of AISC, ASME codes, and relevant structural analysis software. US citizenship is mandatory, with opportunities for both onsite and remote work.

Description:
Per Diems: STA per diems are allowed if hired outside the KSC area (50 miles from the site)
Remote/Site: On site is highly preferred but will consider remote work
US citizenship required
Job Description:
Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.
Basic Qualifications
US Citizenship is required
4 Year Structural Engineering Bachelors Degree
Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
Prior experience using structural analysis programs
Preferred Qualifications
PE Registration
Prior experience using pipe support analysis programs GTStrudel
Prior experience using Pipe SupportModeler software
Previous Bechtel project experience
Previous DOD/DOE project experience
