Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking crew members to erect agricultural buildings on dairy farms in New York. Work includes installing light-gauge steel framing, structural steel components, wall and roof systems, metal panels, insulation, trim, doors, and related assemblies.

On-site teams unload materials with telehandlers and set concrete foundations that are already poured. Applicants should be able to lift 50 lbs, have at least 1 month of agricultural construction experience or steel framing exposure, and

Job description

On farms, we erect agricultural buildings for the dairy industry. Our work includes erecting light-gauge steel framing, and structural steel components, along with the installation of wall and roof systems such as metal panels, insulation, trim, doors, and related assemblies. Materials are delivered to the site and unloaded by our crews using telehandlers. When we arrive on site, the concrete foundations and slabs are already poured. We do not perform trenching, concrete placement, plumbing, or electrical work. Includes the install of fans for ventilation.

Our crews use standard construction tools and equipment. Primary equipment includes telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Hand and power tools include drills, impact drivers, circular saws, reciprocating saws, grinders, nail guns, squares, levels, measuring tapes, and basic hand tools such as hammers and wrenches. All work is performed in accordance with project plans, safety requirements, and applicable safety standards.

This job order contains job duties outside of the NY definitions of agriculture; therefore workers will be paid overtime at 40 hours in the work week.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free fully equipped cooking and kitchen facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Once per week the employer will offer to provide free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries and other incidentals

If free and convenient kitchen facilities become unavailable for any reason, the employer will provide three (3) meals a day for which it will charge individual workers, by payroll deduction, no more than the daily permitted amount as provided in 20 CFR 655.173, which was $16.78 as of April 7, 2026, and which may be increased during the period of this employment.

Transport: Employer will either arrange for inbound and outbound transportation via a charter bus service for the worker, or if the worker prefers to arrange their own transportation, Employer will reimburse the worker at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved as well as for the related daily subsistence costs while the worker is traveling.
