Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking experienced Structural Steel Welders and Fitters for a shop-based fabrication role in Cocoa, FL. This contract-to-hire position offers 1st and 2nd shifts, with starting pay of $24.00/hour plus a $3.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift, and higher pay based on experience.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and specs, measuring, laying out, cutting, fitting, assembling structural steel components, and welding to specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel welding and/or fabrication.

• Knowledge of shop equipment and fabrication tools.

• Inspect materials and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Flux Core welding.
• Ability to pass a Flux Core welding test.

• AWS or other welding certifications are a plus.
