Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Richmond, VA is hiring a Structural Steel Welder for 1st shift. Pay is $18-23 per hour, based on weld test results. The shift runs 5am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri.

A successful candidate will have a D1.1 2G/3G welding certification, experience interpreting drawings, and willingness to learn. Must be able to operate overhead cranes and perform flux core welding.

Qualifications

• Certification in D1.1 2G/3G welding.
• Experience interpreting fabrication drawings.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel parts per drawings and weld symbols.
• Inspect welds visually to ensure correct fabrication.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinders and magnetic drill.

Shift: 5am-3:30pm M-F

Description:

• A successful candidate should have a welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G with applicable experience, willingness to learn, and ability to interpret fabrication and construction drawings.

Requirements:

• Prior Experience Operating Overhead Cranes
• Prior welding experience in Flux core ideal
• 1 2G/3G Certification
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed

Job Details:

• Welding structural steel parts as specified per drawings and marked up weld symbols
• Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection
• Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade
• Flux core welding 2G/3G
