Job summary

D&T Steel, Inc. seeks a full-time steel primer painter at our Pelion, SC facility. No heavy experience required, just willingness to learn and safety awareness. Starting pay posted as $15.00–$18.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow through hands-on training.

Responsibilities include priming steel with spray equipment, crane-assisted material handling, and staying compliant with safety and housekeeping rules. Work hours are Monday–Thursday 7:00–5:30 and Friday 7:00–3:30; overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products.
• Willingness to learn; experience is NOT required.

Responsibilities

• Applies primer paint to steel with spray equipment.
• Handles heavy material with overhead cranes and rigging.
• Loads material and maintains safety at the work site.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odor, noise, dust,heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The temperature in the work environment is not regulated.

Preferred Education And Experience

Knowledge of methods and techniques related to the safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products, chemicals, and safe cleanup techniques and practices.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days will be:

Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 5:30 pm. Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Lunch is from 12-1 pm.
