Job summary

Bowman Steel LLC in Florida (Ocala/Summerfield) is seeking a Job Shop Fabricator to join our structural steel fabrication team. You will fabricate steel components, read blueprints, and perform MIG welding in a hands-on shop environment.

This full-time role offers overtime opportunities, competitive hourly pay, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, paid holidays, and training. Work is in person at our Summerfield facility with room for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Strong MIG welding skills demonstrated.
• Willingness to undergo welding and blueprint-reading evaluation.
• Experience with structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication.
• Experience fabricating handrails from drawings preferred.
• Knowledge of angles, measurements, and fit-up.
• Familiarity with common fabrication machinery and tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel components safely, accurately, and efficiently under supervision.
• Establish daily priorities and production goals with the Shop Foreman.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
• Read drawings and cut lists; interpret fabrication details.
• Measure, layout, cut, fit, and weld as required (MIG).
• Fabricate handrails and other steel components from drawings.
• Operate forklifts and assist with loading/unloading.
• Utilize band saws, plasma tables, press brakes, pipe benders, and other tools.
• Maintain organized work area and contribute to a positive culture.
