Schuff Steel is seeking an experienced Estimator in Stockton, CA to produce accurate, detailed estimates for steel construction projects. You will collaborate with fabrication, purchasing, field erection, pre-construction, and vendors to ensure estimates are thorough and actionable.

Applicants should have five years of progressive estimating experience, proficiency with estimating software, and strong numerical and communication skills. Overtime and travel may be required as projects demand.

• Five years of progressively responsible experience estimating structural steel construction projects.
• Proven experience as a construction or steel estimator.
• Experience providing accurate information that aids operations in achieving goals.
• Thorough understanding of structural steel drawings and detailing.
• Knowledge of estimating software packages.

Responsabilidades

• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, schedules to prepare and estimate projects.
• Collaborate with Sales and Pre-construction to understand size, scope, timelines and deadlines.
• Collaborate with others on how to build the job through fabrication and erection.
• Prepare detailed estimates for new projects and change orders, meeting deadlines.
• Takeoff steel materials, estimate shop and field labor, buyout items, equipment, and subs.
• Enter estimated information into our software and summarize results for leaders.
• Discuss alternative recommendations to meet client needs.
• Interact with team members, internal departments and subcontractors professionally.
