Job description

Our commercial Division services commercial general contractors in Colorado and occasionally outside the state. The position is within the Commercial Division.

The company is certified by AISC for buildings and bridges, employs two certified welding inspectors, and maintains a premier reputation with contractors and erectors. Our safety record is the best in Colorado, likely one of the best in the country.

Responsibilities:

1. Review design drawings to perform steel takeoffs.
2. Identify steel requirements and collaborate with the Estimating Manager to apply budgeted hours for bidding.
3. Understand steel requirements thoroughly.
4. Work with specifications covering detailing, purchasing, engineering, erection, scheduling, fabrication, coatings, and shipping.
5. Identify potential issues that may arise during projects.
6. Coordinate bids related to subcontracted requirements.
7. Read and interpret design drawings, erection drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator or project manager.
• Experience in steel detailing is a plus.
