Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Structural Revit Technician to assist structural engineers by providing BIM modeling and generating construction documents. The role involves preparing Revit models and drawings for buildings, coordinating with disciplines, and mentoring junior staff.

The position supports both office and project-site work in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree in a related field, 3–5 years of Revit experience, and proficiency in building structures,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• 3–5 years of experience with Revit.
• Experience with Building Structures required.
• Ability to visualize and illustrate design in 2D/3D.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Navisworks experience preferred.
• Autodesk Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Structural Revit models of buildings and tenant improvements.
• Prepare Structural construction documents including plans, elevations, schedules and details.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and other disciplines via in-person and Teams meetings and with cloud-based federated models.
• Participate in clash detection and resolution of MEP and structural systems.
• Perform redline drafting.
• Read and duplicate existing structural plans for additions or renovations.
• Mentor interns and entry-level designers.
• Work in both office-based and project site-based locations.
