Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Structural Revit Technician with 2+ years of experience to support engineers in developing structural models and drawings. You will work from sketches to produce accurate plans, sections, and details while coordinating with architectural models to ensure integrated designs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of structural Revit experience, or equivalent such as a steel detailer learning Revit.
• Solid working knowledge of building structural systems.
• Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD or Navisworks is a plus.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet budgets and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural Revit models, including grids, levels, columns, beams, floors, sections, and details for construction documents.
• Produce plans, sections, and details from architectural drawings and sketches.
• Coordinate with architectural Revit models to ensure model integration.
• Maintain company Revit templates and BIM/CADD standards.
• Apply knowledge of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structural systems.
• Analyze sketches and notes to determine drafting approaches.
• Coordinate dimensions and details across drawing sets and update per shop drawings.
• Develop framing plans with input from project engineers.
• Collaborate across multiple project teams to meet deadlines.
• Follow drawing standards, sheet layouts, and project schedules.
• Work under supervision of a lead engineer and seek guidance as needed.
• Answer design questions and follow instructions.
