Job summary

HOLDGATE CONSULTING LIMITED is seeking a Revit Technician to support a multidisciplinary engineering team across housing, retail and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for producing and supervising coordinated 3D BIM models in Revit, ensuring they meet current design standards.

The role requires a strong structural engineering background, a minimum of 5 years using Revit and CAD, and experience detailing concrete, steel and masonry.

Qualifications

• HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years as a structural technician using Revit and CAD.
• Experience detailing with concrete, steel and masonry.
• Experience on residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Ability to mentor junior CAD staff and support BIM processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit.
• Deliver projects from concept to completion within a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to BIM strategy and office-wide BIM processes.

Job description

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a Revit Technician to assist in dealing with a wide range of sectors including housing, retail and industrial. In your new role you will be joining a well-established engineering team, working on a range of residential, commercial and industrial projects where you will be responsible for the production and supervision of co-ordinated 3D, BIM models using Revit.

Key Skills

• HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering.


• A demonstration of relevant structural Revit experience.


• Ability to deliver projects through to completion, and work within a multidisciplinary consultancy.


• Be involved in BIM strategy for the office and contribute to BIM processes.


• Come from a strong structural engineering background, having a minimum of 5 years working as a structural technician using Revit and CAD.


• Be technically competent with the modelling and draughting of structures to current design standards.


• Have previous experience working on residential, commercial, industrial building structure projects.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work and analyse 2D /3D projects.


• Experience of detailing using concrete, steel and masonry.


• Ability to mentor more junior CAD staff in the use of Revit/CAD.
