Job summary

Talisman is hiring a Project Engineer, Structural in Chicago, IL. The role centers on leading structural analysis and design, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating across disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.

You will work with senior engineers to grow into leadership positions on mission-critical projects. The firm specializes in data-center, life sciences, healthcare, and seismic retrofit work with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required; MS preferred.
• EIT (or equivalent) required; PE/SE preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in structural analysis and design.
• Experience with seismic design and multiple lateral systems.
• Familiarity with ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc, Revit, and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to structural analysis and design across active projects.
• Direct and mentor junior engineering staff.
• Coordinate across disciplines to keep projects on track.
• Prepare plans and detail drawings.
• Manage client communication and project delivery.
