Job summary

AG&E Associates in Atlanta, GA seeks a driven Structural Project Engineer to contribute to complex building design and lead design teams across multidisciplinary projects.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, a civil/architectural engineering degree with structural emphasis, and at least four years of building design experience. Proficiency in RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and BIM 360 is required, with strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis) required.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis) required.
• Minimum of four years of structural engineering experience in building design.
• Active PE license in-state with structural designation; strong knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design across multiple sectors.
• Manage design team members and coordinate with senior engineers to deliver project documentation and calculations.
• Oversee material selection, structural systems, and preparation of specifications.
• Coordinate structural design with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Support construction administration, including RFIs, shop drawings, and site observations.
• Prepare technical reports, diagnostic investigations, and participate in peer reviews.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, and assist with team coordination.
• Attend client meetings, document discussions, and support business development efforts.
