Job summary

KB Sourcing is seeking a skilled Engineer for its Florida Structural Division. The full-time position focuses on delivering structural design expertise, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring project quality from initial concept through closeout.

The candidate should have a civil engineering (structural) background, 0–5 years of experience, and fluency with AutoCAD and drawings interpretation. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (structural) or related field.
• 0–5 years of civil engineering experience with a structural focus.
• Florida EI or PE credentials preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop project plans and schedules.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance and work verifications regarding project specifications and local safety regulation.
• Prepare and review project drawings, designs, and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays, proposing solutions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and cost estimates.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or issues.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and support as needed.
