The candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the completion of deliverables and efforts required by the Design Engineering team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Determines project needs, constraints and responsibilities to meet all the customer’s facilities requirements.
• Develop multiple relationships with new and existing customers (owner, facility manager, project manager, project engineer, design engineers, purchasing, etc.) to facilitate design and operational success.
• Survey and appraise structural elements/systems within various building types.
• Design structural assemblies for MSS fabricated products
• Develop material specifications and construction drawings and documents to ensure proper specification of structural elements to satisfy scope of work.
• Aggressively manage project submittal review and approval to help maintain project scope and schedule.
• Support engineering evaluation process in project opportunities as identified individually or as an operational team member. This responsibility includes providing company-wide structural engineering support as required.
• Support project engineering design needs and provide Professional Engineering review and stamping as required for all divisions, if required.
• Document work by maintaining files for each job.
• Provide on-site engineering support for project team to meet design intent, system requirements, and project milestones.
• Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.
• Able to support seismic design efforts.
• Able to conduct Finite Element Analysis on structural assemblies.
• Familiarity with Healthcare, Industrial, and Commercial building applications.
• Coordinate project specific structural engineering.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• BS or another degree in a related field (engineering, construction management, engineering technology etc.) or equivalent job experience and certifications.
• Professional Engineering License
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to understand structural systems and fundamental level understanding of HVAC principles.
• Strong work ethic.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office related products.

Key Requirements

• Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable.
• Random drug testing is required.
• An appointment to this position may require a background investigation.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Proficient understanding of Autodesk Products specifically Revit and AutoCAD
• Able to travel to jobsites
