Job summary

Gilmore & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to perform and manage analysis, design and documentation of bridges, buildings, dams and other structures, with emphasis on field investigation and construction phase observation.

Essential duties include design and analysis, client and agency meetings, supervising staff, and preparing reports and cost estimates. A PA P.E. license and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Valid Pennsylvania P.E. license.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineering and management experience.
• Familiarity with ICC Building Codes and PennDOT standards.
• Experience with design of bridges and highway structures.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis for various structures.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures.
• Attend meetings with clients, agencies, contractors and professionals.
• Supervise administrative, technical and professional staff.
• Develop solutions within budget and schedule constraints.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, responses to SOIs, RFPs, RFQs.
• Review designs as part of a total quality management process.
• Perform peer reviews, forensic investigations and expert reports.
