Job summary

GeoWorld is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with a focus on Structural Engineering to supervise analyses and design of infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering and a PE license while having 15-20 years of progressive experience in bridge/building design.

This role involves preparing contract plans, reviewing contractor submissions, and engaging directly with clients. Proficiency in tools like MS Word, Excel, and AUTOCAD is essential, along with the ability to market the firm’s services and assist with proposals.

Qualifications

• Fifteen to twenty years of progressive experience in bridge/building design, evaluation, and rehabilitation.
• Ability to obtain NY, NJ or PA PE within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural analyses, design, and detailing of infrastructure projects.
• Direct the preparation of contract plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Visit project sites that may be under construction to collect information.
• Write reports, specifications, and correspondence.
• Review and respond to contractor submittals such as working drawings and RFIs.
• Interact with clients and contractors.
• Market the firm’s services.
• Assist with preparing proposals.
