Job summary

Jones Valley Fabrication in Alabama is seeking an experienced fitter to support heavy plate and structural work. You will fit up plate/structural weldments prior to welding and read complex shop drawings to prepare steel for welding.

You will lay out, position, align, and assemble fabricated parts of structural metal products and perform related tasks as assigned. Must have own tools and at least 5 years of fitting experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years fitting experience in heavy plate and/or structural work.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Read complicated shop drawings and fit up the steel for a welder to complete.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products.
• Performs related tasks as assigned.
