The City of North Las Vegas seeks a Structural Plans Examiner to review complex construction plans for conformance to building codes. The role focuses on plans submitted by private builders, engineers and architects within the Land Development and Community Services department.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and an ICC Plans Examiner certificate within one year of hire. Salary ranges from $77,557.22 to $110,798.97 with a 4-days/week schedule.

This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Land Development and Community Services department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
