Job summary

The Structures Company in Layton, UT is seeking a Structural / Mechanical / Electrical Assembly Technician to perform production assembly on structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, read drawings, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

This contractor role requires a high school diploma or technical certification, experience with DMMs, wiring, and soldering, and a strong focus on safety and ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or technical certification required.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience using digital multimeters (DMMs).
• Proficiency in Excel, wiring, and soldering.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and compliance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly operations on structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Obtain and maintain all required certifications.
• Use a computer in a production environment.
• Read and interpret technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Use various hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, ratchets, torque tools, crimpers, multimeters).
• Perform self-inspection of work for quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Carry/lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical activities such as kneeling, bending, standing, and walking.
