Project Kuiper aims to increase global broadband access via a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, helping to close the digital divide for consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in areas without reliable connectivity.

Responsibilities

  1. Work 2nd shift, 3:30pm-12:00am.
  2. Review and disposition non-conformance events related to spacecraft structural integrity across all phases of Kuiper operations.
  3. Develop standard repairs, rework procedures, propose design for manufacturing (DFM) improvements, and work instructions.
  4. Document static, dynamic, and fatigue stress analyses to support dispositions, interpreting structural analysis reports.
  5. Develop analysis methods for common structural non-conformances.
  6. Collaborate with Quality, Design, Manufacturing, and Structural Engineering teams to perform root cause failure analyses.
  7. Interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a Structural Liaison Engineer / MRB role with aerospace structures.
  • Experience with aerospace or launch vehicle structures, material review board processes, and structural analysis.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with interdisciplinary teams from concept to production.
  • Knowledge of structural dynamics, fatigue, fracture analyses, and spacecraft technology.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and ANSI standards.
  • Experience with Siemens products (Teamcenter, NX, NX Nastran).
