Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Ironworker 2 to perform increasingly complex structural steel tasks on commercial projects, including new construction and renovations. You will work with beams, columns, and decking, using welding as needed, under supervision to ensure safety and quality across diverse project phases.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, apprenticeship or trade training, and 2+ years in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Apprentice or Vocational/Technical/Trade training preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years commercial construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge of ironworking practices and tools.
• Handles structural components of buildings including beams and columns.
• Repairs or modifies structural steel as directed by foremen or leadership.
• Places structural members under supervision ensuring safe practices.
• Installs and fastens metal decking for floors and roofs.
• Ensures PPE compliance and follows OSHA standards.
• Adheres to JE Dunn safety standards.
• Owns necessary hand tools and pouches.
