Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an Ironworker for a position in the Cameron, LA area. The Ironworker works with a crew to raise, place and unite girders and other structural-steel components to form completed structures and frameworks.

Non-exempt role; reports to the Foreman; duties follow site procedures. Per diem may apply; safety gear and pre-employment screening required; 6-10's shift schedule in days. Turner Industries is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years of ironworker experience depending on mechanic level.
• Knowledge of ironworker tools and how to use them.
• Rigging skills including wire rope slings.
• NCCER certification preferred.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Off loads deliveries of structural material and sets up hoisting equipment.
• Guides and positions structural-steel members and ensures proper alignment.
• Signals hoist operator and secures connections to complete assemblies.
• Ensures safety requirements and PPE are met on site.
