Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Intern to gain real-world experience in building project design. You will work under a professional engineer’s supervision, perform Revit modeling, and contribute to engineering calculations and problem solving.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Architectural or Civil Engineering programs with a focus on structures, have strong communication skills, and are eager to collaborate in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Minimum 3.0+ GPA and Revit proficiency; familiarity with FEA software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and MS Office basics.
• Interest in structural design of buildings and active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience with the design of exciting building projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
• Perform revit modeling of buildings, performing engineering calculations, and participate in problem solving.
• Perform other duties as needed
