Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Intern in Plano, TX to gain real-world experience designing building projects under supervision. You will collaborate on structural concepts, modeling, and calculations, and participate in mentoring programs for new grads.

Preferred candidates are pursuing an engineering degree with a Structural emphasis, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and are proficient with Revit and basic Microsoft Office; strong communication and problem-solving skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience with the design of exciting building projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
• Perform revit modeling of buildings, performing engineering calculations, and participate in problem solving.
• Perform other duties as needed
