Job summary

MedStar Washington Hospital Center invites nurse practitioners and physician assistants to join the MHVI Structural Heart team. You will coordinate care for patients referred for structural heart procedures and work closely with interventional cardiologists in an outpatient setting.

The role includes intake of referrals, weekly structural clinic coverage, telehealth visits, medical management before and after procedures, and ensuring smooth movement from referral to procedure to follow-up, with

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Maryland State and/or DC Board Examiners of Nurses.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience in Cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Intake and communication with new patient referrals.
• Minimum one day per week structural clinic coverage.
• Telehealth visits.
• Medical management and triage of patient issues pre- and post-procedure.
• Ensuring all patients move through the pipeline efficiently from referral to procedure to follow-up.
• Administrative duties dictated by clinical needs.
