This position is hybrid and local to one of our office locations in PA, OH, CO, TN, TX, CA. This person will be responsible for research, design calculations and coordination of project specifications with support from a staff of technical personnel including other engineers. Apply today and make a lasting impact.**What You'll Do:**Group Leadership· Manage diverse, fast-paced, and complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams, utilizing professional staff in multiple office locations· Develop and maintain client relationships as primary client manager or secondary contact.· Participate in selling and cross-selling efforts; (Civil, Survey, Geotech, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, & Reality Capture Services)· Lead in the development of strategy, the scope of work, and the budget for projects, and lead presentations as part of client interviews/selection· Planning, design, and permitting structural engineering and infrastructure projects· Lead this team with an entrepreneurial spirit by presenting at industry conferences and building professional relationships within target markets.· Lead safety culture within the project team, including following safety protocols for all projects· Track progress against project schedules and budgets. Prepare necessary contract adjustments for changes in scope, schedule, or fee· Actively manage project metrics, WIP, AR and risk· Supervise and provide work assignments to the project team· Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review technical plans and reports· Plan and execute work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines· Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards· Mentor staff in required technical skills· Motivate and encourage others, and help the team achieve success· Interact with regulatory agencies, knowing what information to provide, when, and with appropriate internal or client review· Possess detailed knowledge of regulations in the area of practice· Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions· Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with clients to articulate and achieve project goals· Communicate effectively and proactively with management, peers, and clients· Maintain the integrity and growth of the opportunity pipeline for the area· Manage and develop meaningful dialogue with clients in the area, and expand those relationships to the rest of VerdantasTechnical Work· Performs design, analysis, planning and modeling as required· Performs research as required, providing results of research to support the team as needed· Prepares design computations and quantity estimates to develop design plan documents· Instructs draftspersons/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings· Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Performs some CADD/REVIT drafting· Provides reports on research and design as required· Reviews results, maintaining close contact with the project manager and senior engineers, keeping them informed of issues or concerns or changes required in the schedule or process· Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects**What You’ll Bring:**· Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university· PE license required, NCEES Preferred· Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial/industrial building structural design in a consulting environment· Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a diverse set of projects· Familiarity with design requirements for Building and Structural Design Codes· Working knowledge of STAAD and RAM structural software· Experience with Revit a plus· Strong written and verbal communication skills**Salary Range:**Starting at $125,000 - will be reviewed based on location**Benefits:*** Flexible Work Environment* Paid Parental Leave* Medical* Dental* Vision* Life and AD&D Insurance* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability* 401(k) with Company Match* Paid Time Off + Holidays*Verdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
