International Marine and Industrial Applicators, LLC is seeking a Structural Foreman to supervise welding teams and oversee all tasks related to welding and fabrication on site in Portsmouth, VA. You will ensure work is performed by qualified welders, follow blueprints, and manage materials and safety protocols.
The role requires welding process knowledge (SMAW, GMAW flux core) and you will train crew members, monitor workmanship, and maintain equipment and records while operating within budget
Reports To: General Manager, Structural
Pay Range: $36.00–$45.00 per hour DOE
A Structural Foreman is an individual who supervises the duties performed by various individuals involved in tasks related to welding. The Structural Foreman must be personally trained in welding processes such as, but not limited to, SMAW and GMAW‑Flux Core for all positions. The Structural Foreman must ensure all welding tasks are done by qualified individuals and ensure they have proper tooling and safe environments to work in.
Regularly required to walk; frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl at various heights and in confined spaces; occasionally required to sit; required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to feel, grip, or handle; regularly required to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; required use of vision to see up close, distance, and peripherally, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus in low light conditions. May be required to wear a respirator to safely perform assigned tasks.
Must be able to carry out simple to complex instructions in a safe and efficient manner.
May be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
