Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a foreman for the 2nd shift to supervise semiskilled and skilled trades personnel and coordinate work according to skill, experience and job knowledge. You will train staff and ensure adherence to drawings and procedures throughout manufacturing, installation and testing.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying new hires; relocation is not provided, and travel is not required. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in manufacturing or trade.
• Apprentice certification or equivalent trade qualification.
• High School diploma with 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience.
• Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical field with 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, coordinate and evaluate trades personnel by skill and experience.
• Train employees and implement procedures to improve productivity and quality.
